walk with us
An immersive audio experience
When I moved to St Leonards-On-Sea 4 years ago I was worried about whether there would be enough racial diversity to accept me within this town.
This time of the year always brings a focus on Black History though I welcome it, it always feels strange as Black British history forms part of British History -365 days a year.
How can so much be squeezed into 31 days and why would you want it to be?
However with the racial reckoning taking place globally and the fallout of Covid-19 it is clear that we are far from an equitable society. So lets use this time to celebrate and amplify the voices of the Black community resident here in Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill.
We have always been here. We will always be here. Let’s Take a Walk.

A massive thank you to all the members of the Black community who shared their personal stories- you are the heart and soul of this work
